Product Contest!

It's that time again...another FREE PRODUCT GIVEAWAY!!
Since the holidays are approaching, most of us will be wanting to create something a little more glamorous than our everyday hair we wear. Whether it be a get-together with friends or an office party, something a little more fancy will be in order.

Bigger in some cases equals better. In my case, bigger hair always equals full on glam. A go-to product of mine is Oribe's Dry Texturizing Spray. This product is an invisible dry spray that will help you achieve control and yes, volume. It creates a ton of texture in the hair and also acts as a brilliant alternative to dry shampoo, which could be helpful the next morning if your party runs late on a work night.

For this contest, you are to decide who is the cuter Santa..or you can vote on which Santa you enjoy the least, either way you are in the clear. Two conditions for the contest, you MUST be a follower of currenthair.blogspot.com.  You must also leave your choice in a comment in the comment section of this post. When leaving your comment, please don't forget to include at least your name so we can be in touch with you if you are our lucky winner!!!

Actresses of the 70's Part Deux

Flipping through magazines at Barnes and Nobles is a very well known favorite past-time of mine. There's nothing more relaxing than to waltz into a bookstore, order a big hot chocolate and sit with an enormous pile of glossy magazines. This stock pile also includes the trashy gossip glossies as well. I justify this reading by saying it's "work research"...I simply MUST know current celeb hair trends and style. So what if I come across Eva Longoria's heartbreaking discovery of Tony cheating on her..it's all in the name of beauty..

Over the holiday break, while millions were out fighting for the last flat screen TV or toaster oven, I made my way into my local bookstore, for some so-called research.  I can not help but notice all of the holiday hair that's gracing the pages of current magazines. Every look is so soft and romantic, and like everything else, this may come to an end..but for now, I'm STILL loving it. Which brings me to Ali MacGraw. She has always been a style icon to many, for me, the movie Love Story is what sold me.

Love Story is based off of a novel, a great novel at that. Ali plays Jenny Cavilleri, a music student who falls in love with a Law Student, Oliver. Their whirlwind of romance and spontaneity would make any woman swoon..until the realities and tragedies of life unfold on to these lovebirds...I'll leave it at that. I'm a firm believer in reading a book before seeing a movie, if you do this with Love Story, you will find in the novel, two love stories parallel, Jenny and Oliver as well as Oliver's relationship with his Father.

But for now, a little of Ali's beautifully classic American Girl style...

classic, close to forty years later..

I'll take this dress in every color please!
and this romper....;)

with Steve McQueen..love the skirt, what I can see atleast..

I'm sure like the rest of us, there are a few photographs out there of Ali being a victim to an off trend or two. However in my hunt to find one, I didn't. She is classic...now and then...here is a clip from Love Story via youtube...

Enjoy the rest of your week!!! Next week, we are having a product contest, so check back!
